Our fleet
A2B-online maintains a fleet of 7 identical container ships that operate liner services between the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. With our own ships, we transport both our own containers and those of third parties. A2B-online Shipmanagement, our in-house shipping company, is responsible for fleet management. With the construction of two environmentally friendly 650 TEU container ships, fleet rejuvenation and sustainability go hand in hand. These ships are expected to be launched in the first quarter of 2025.
Current fleet
We operate with a fleet of 7 ‘sister ships’ built in Hamburg, Germany, between 1995 and 1999 at the Sietas shipyard. These vessels have earned a reputation as the Mercedes of shortsea feeder ships and have been faithfully serving us since then.
The designer had a forward-thinking vision for the design, enabling the ships to accommodate modern-sized containers (up to 2.60 meters wide and 45 feet long). Additionally, the ships are relatively fuel-efficient, considering their service speed of 14 knots.
Future fleet
& newbuild
A2B-online has implemented a fleet renewal program with a long-term perspective. To replace the older tonnage, the company has opted to build new ships with a strong focus on sustainable performance. The vessels are currently under construction and are expected to be put into service in the first quarter of 2025.
