Expansion: 5 weekly sailings  London Thamesport - Moerdijk

As of today, 14 March 2025, A2B-online is adding a 5th weekly sailing to its scheduled service between Moerdijk and Hutchison Ports London Thamesport. Specifically, this expansion now means an arrival on every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday at London Thamesport and an arrival on every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at Moerdijk.  For A2B-online customers, this means more stability, capacity and flexibility.

Partners delighted with this expansion:

  • Mark Taylor, Director, London Thamesport
“London Thamesport offers its customers a service tailored to their specific demands and we are delighted that A2B-online continues to go from strength-to-strength. Demand in the short-sea container market continues to grow as shippers look for a reliable and predictable service offering which is something we deliver by working closely with our customers and maintaining a sharp focus on service-delivery.”

  • Michael van Keulen, Managing Director of A2B-online
“We have been working with London Thamesport for 11 years. Their dedication, flexibility and focus on operational excellence match our values and have helped drive our growth over that time. We look forward to building on our relationship and continuing together to deliver a consistent and high-quality service to our customers.”

Keel laying A2B Vision

Today we, A2B-online, celebrated the very special moment of keel laying of our first new-build vessel, the A2B Vision. The keel laying took place at the modern shipyard SEDEF in Tuzla, Turkey. We may call this event very unique as it was the first time in our young existence of the company to see here the start of the first out of two sisters being built. Our clients, our colleagues, our shareholders and not in the last place, our team effort have made this great momentum possible.

The A2B Vision will be an ultra modern hybrid-methanol driven low emission container vessel, especially designed for the shortsea market and able to carry over more than 10 sorts of shortsea containers. Our clients will be able to have their dedicated container transported by A2B-online to and from the United Kingdom.

The A2B Vision is expected to set sail for our trading area by the end of this year. The second ship, the A2B Progress, is expected three months later.

First sailing barge Moerdijk - Duisburg

On February 3, 2025, the moment had finally arrived. Together with our partners WEC Lines, Tailwind Shipping Lines, and Danser Group, we were present for the maiden voyage of the barge ms TRANQUILO to Duisburg. This barge connection is launching as a scheduled service with two departures per week between Moerdijk (CCT) and the Ruhr area (DGT Duisburg Gateway Terminal).

Euphoria
After extensive preparations and a hectic period, it was fantastic to celebrate this wonderful expansion of the Port of Moerdijk as an intermodal hub with all those involved—complete with cake and champagne. At the same time, we toasted to the promising new partnerships that have been established with the launch of this new service. We look forward with confidence to working with these partners in the future!

Thank You
A heartfelt thank you to our partners and everyone involved, especially those who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make this milestone possible.
