Purpose of the position:

A2B-online is a logistics company where ‘You’ the person are key. Our employees are directly involved in the development of the organization and are able to work towards personal and business goals in an environment where respect and honesty are our base principles.  We are looking for an experienced transport planner, with supervisory/management experience/potential, to assist the UK Operations Manager in further developing the company's UK operations which will allow further growth and expansion.

Key tasks:

  • Day to day trailer planning (allocating resource and reloading trailers)
  • Maintaining haulier relationships
  • Encourage and develop own drivers
  • Maintain and develop link between customer service and operations

Skills and competencies:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • (Proven track record in) people management and leadership skills (knowledge of training/development/coaching/conflict management/performance management)
  • Fluent in English
  • Good knowledge of IT systems
  • Candidates must be able to demonstrate knowledge in UK geography, driver hours and law, trailer transport, shipping ferry/port knowledge and last but not least UK haulage market

Educational background/Work experience:

  • Higher education - (graduate work - and think level)
  • Min. 5 years working experience
  • Min. 3 years industry experience (short sea ro-ro market)
